hutspot amsterdam & friday next - the coolest concept stores of Amsterdam

Vanmorgen wilde ik twee geweldige concept winkels in de stad bezoeken. Mijn eerste stop: Friday Next aan de Overtoom. Het is een grote winkel, waar je de prachtigste accessoires en meubels voor je huis kunt kopen. Ik hou vooral van de Scandinavisch labels Hay en Hogänäs. Deze winkel is ook nog eens een studio en je kunt er aanschuiven voor een ontbijtje met lekkere cappuccino. Ik vond het leuk om te zien dat er veel bezoekers met hun laptop aan het werken waren. Slim! Ze hebben de perfecte werkplaats gevonden van de stad :)

 

Volgende stop: Hutspot Amsterdam aan de van Woustraat. Ook een giga winkel met twee verdiepingen. Beneden kun je terecht voor mode, meubels en accessoires van designers die geen eigen winkel hebben. Hutspot verkoopt het voor jou. In deze winkel vind je echt bijzondere spullen, uniek en gemaakt met veel aandacht. Het is een prachtige inrichting; Pieter, Nick, Reinier & Nils - de 4 jongens die het runnen - hebben een geweldige smaak, ze mogen mijn huis zo aan een make over helpen! Overal zie je kleine composities met de kleding, kunst en de stoere meubels zoals kastjes en industriele lampen. Boven is onder meer een café, waar je ontbijtjes en lunch kunt eten of een brood koopt. Verder is er op deze enorme verdieping een kunst expo van verschillende kunstenaars en een groot open kantoor. Ga er naartoe als je net zo'n fan bent van concept stores als ik, omdat je er altijd zoveel kunt zien (en kopen).

This morning I wanted to visit two cool concept stores in the city. My first stop: Friday Next at the Overtoom. It's a big store, where they sell the most beautiful acccessoiries and furniture for your home. I especially love all the Scandinavian design they have like Hay and Hogänäs. This place is also a studio and you can have breakfast and a creamy cappuccino. I also thought it was very funny to see so many visitors working on their laptops. Smart! They found themselves the perfect working space in Amsterdam : )

Next stop Hutspot Amsterdam at the van Woustraat. Also a fantastic big store with 2 levels. Downstairs you can buy fashion, furniture and acccessoiries from designers who don't own a store. So Hutspot sells it for you. It's a place where you can find special things, unique and made with care. The interior is very beautiful; Pieter, Nick, Reinier & Nils - the 4 guys who are running it - have such a good taste, they can make over my home immediatly! Everywere there are little compositions with garnments, art, cool pieces of furniture like cabinets or industrial lamps. Upstairs you can find a café on the left side, have breakfast or lunch there and buy a loaf of bread. At the other side of this gigantic level, there's an art expo by different artists and a big open office. A must go if you like concept stores as much as I do, because there's always so much to see (and buy).
